Anytime Leisure Supports Team NL at Children's Games

As part of Anytime Leisure's ongoing partnership with North Lanarkshire Leisure we are delighted to be announced as an official sponsor of Team North Lanarkshire for the 2014 Lake Macquarie International Children's Games.

North Lanarkshire is one of only two areas represented from the UK at the International Children’s Games (ICG) which is the largest multi-sport youth games in the world and is a recognised member of the International Olympic Committee.

The International Children's Games, founded in 1968, takes place annually and in December 2014 visits Lake Macquarie in Australia. The games aim to enable the children of different countries, with their different languages, origins and outlooks, to meet on the field of play in various sports with the goal of developing friendship and understanding to help to pursue the Olympic ideals.

North Lanarkshire Leisure (NLL) plays a huge role in sending a team from the Lanarkshire region and in 2011 hosted the event in partnership with South Lanarkshire Council. Over 1300 athletes between 12-15 travelled to compete in facilities including; John Wright Sports CentreDollan Aqua Centre, Wishaw Sports Centre and Ravenscraig Regional Sports Facility.

All of the staff at Anytime Leisure would like to take this opportunity to wish Team NL and all of the athletes involved the very best of luck when they travel out in December.
